The famous herb called borage, which is grown from its seeds, is well-known for its hairy leaves and bright blue, star-shaped flowers. This annual herb, which has both culinary and medicinal applications, is grown from the seeds of the Borage plant (Borago officinalis). Because of its high gamma-linolenic acid (GLA content), borage is highly prized for its possible anti-inflammatory and other health effects. It is a lovely addition to salads, drinks, and garnishes because of its cucumber-like flavor. Borage is a hardy plant that is great for herb gardens and decorative landscapes since it is easy to grow from seeds and draws pollinators.

Planting Methodology

• Once the soil has warmed up, plant the seeds of borage in the spring or early summer. An annual herb that thrives in warmer climates is borage.
• Select soil that drains effectively and has a pH range of slightly acidic to neutral. Although it is not particularly finicky about soil type, borage grows best in rich, loamy soil.
• Because borage prefers full sun, choose a spot that gets at least 6 to 8 hours of sunlight each day.
• Because of their taproot, Borage seeds do not transplant well; instead, sow them straight into the ground. Plant the seeds 12 to 24 inches apart and 1/4 inch deep.
