Iris (Blue) When they blossom in the spring, flowers are striking. Using this lovely flowering plant can enhance the beauty of your landscape.

Perennial plants, iris originate from bulbs in drier climates or from creeping rhizomes. They could have facial hair or not. Their flowering stems are long and upright, with the ability to be simple or branching, solid or hollow, and round or flattened. The basal leaves of bulbous species are cylindrical.

  • The best times to grow them are in the fall or from September to December in warm, sunny locations.
  • Iris seeds are sown in the fall and early winter.
  • You can store the bulb for 12 to 14 weeks in a vented mesh bag in the refrigerator before sowing.
  • About 4 C is the highest chilling temperature.
  • Create a hole that is around three times deeper than the bulb’s height.
  • Place the bulb in the hole, fill it with dirt, and firmly press.
  • Bulbs should be planted 4 to 6 inches apart.
  • Thoroughly water after planting.
  • For bulb plantations, use the following potting mix ratio: garden soil + compost + perlite + sand (2:2:1:1).Soil + vermicompost + cocopeat (2:1:2)
