Description
This charming Oxalis (Wood Sorrel) is perfect for filling in spaces in the rock garden.
Some tiny herbivores can find food in tuberculate wood sorrels. It is a highly collectible and diversified genus. In about 8 to 10 weeks, these peculiar-looking bulbs will begin to grow foliage and blossoms. Several types have two flows.
Autumn, winter, and spring bring a plethora of tints to the leaves and intermittent blooms of exquisite flowers. Some people believe that the plant offers good luck since its leaves are fashioned like a clover. When darkness falls, these leaves curl up, then unfold when daylight arrives.

Planting Methodology
- Leave the foliage in place once the season’s blooming is over; do not trim it off.
- The leaves will absorb sunlight, making the bulb stronger in the long run.
- When the plant enters dormancy in late summer or early fall, its leaves will turn yellow and wither back.
- At this point, you can remove the foliage.
- Make sure the pests cannot get to any other plants, and make sure the area is completely free of any fallen leaves.
- If at all possible, use a diluted 50/50 alcohol/water solution to clean every surface.
