Red sandalwood develops into a tree and is used in fragrant and medicinal applications. Bark and heartwood, the wood at the middle of the tree, are both used medicinally.
RED SANDAL WOOD GROWING FROM SEEDS:
- Grab a trowel or small shovel. Make a planting hole that is 11 by 1 inches, or 30 by 3 centimeters.
- Transplant the seedlings when they are around one month old.
- Set the sandalwood seedlings down close to the host plants, no more than one meter (3.3 feet).
- Especially in the first year, get rid of any weeds that are vying with the sandalwood tree for moisture.
