Beautiful, showy flowered gladiolus During the summer, gladiolus plants thrive in the warm temperatures.

Gladiolus blooms come in an enormous variety of colors, including multicolored and apricot, blue, burgundy, pink, gold, red, orange, and white. It goes by the name “sword lily” occasionally.Gladioli are a wonderful cutting flower and look stunning in bouquets during midsummer. Stands between two to five feet tall.

They produce one to nine slender, sword-shaped, longitudinally grooved leaves from stems that are often unbranched. Large, solitary flower spikes are seen. They form a tube-shaped structure when joined at the base.

Planting And care

When the soil appears dry to the touch, water the plant.

Give your plants plenty of water during the summer and less during the winter and wet season.

Plants should be fertilized during the planting and growing seasons.

Add organic material to the potting mix as a mulch.
